Title I Targeted Assistance Schools:
Provide service to eligible children identified as having the greatest need for special assistance.
Title I funds must be used for services that supplement, and do not supplant.
Help provide an accelerated, high-quality curriculum.
Provide instruction by highly qualified staff.
Provide professional development opportunities for administrators, teachers, parents, and other school staff who work with participating children.
Provide strategies to increase parental involvement, such as family literacy services.
